PS: Also in the books Jaime realises that it was never Ned 'it was never you' that was bothering him, I think it was Jaime's conscience about the death of Rhaegar's children that bothered him the most, I think most forget how young Jaime was and he had no idea his father would kill the children……JMHO Take care and enjoy your day 🙂
Jaime is one of the most complex characters in the books and feel the show has let his Arc down, he simply follows Cersei around in the show, but in the books once he loses his hand, he begins to use his mind and he also changes when he meets Brienne. I hope that Jaime will join Jon in the North, the scene where they shake hands in the first Season is foreshadowing, but as you said, we'll have to wait and see. Well done Justin and I wish you all the best 🙂
