  1. This was a middle season in my opinion.
But just like you, I have accepted the fanfiction and just started to enjoy it.
In my opinion, it was better than most of S5 and all of S6. Even though this season had way more flaws than it should have had.
God, I hope they didn't srew up writing S8… And yeah, I don't worry about the production quality, in terms of that this is the best show of all time.

  2. When I try to justify Cersei's boost of intelligence, I always remind that, yes, she's arrogant and short sighted, but it's also true that her weakness were her children mostly. If you think about it, most of her mistakes were done in order to protect herself or her children from the prophecy. With her children out of the way, she could focus solely on the war. It's sad to say, but their death made her a more cunning person in a way

  3. I'm exactly in between so I have mixed feelings. It was a good season yes quality was there it had good moments but it was also (for me) season where I realised the flaws of whole season. Sometimes poor writing, bad decisions made by grandmaster schemer LF because showrunners probably did not know what to do with him. Some characters traveled 5 minutes while some characters traveled 5 episodes. Also Deny and Jon together ok why not (allies) but in my opinion it was not needed to fu*k her aunt.

  4. This season had almost as many good points as bad for me I really loved the stark children scenes pretty much all of them especially the finale scene with arya and sansa kinda coming together and making peace.also the goodbye with Jamie and cersei lena heady was just born to play cersei.

  5. Oh damn, yes! Unexpected surprise! I agree with ya in regards to the quality. Story and pacing deserve critising sure, but set design? acting? effects? Oh yeah it's all on point.

(Also please put your balls on my face Carmine <3)

  6. For good things this season, I glad we got the Stark reunion, Lannisster acting fantastic and loved the Field of Fire 2.0. Also I like how they tried to humanize the Lannisster soldiers, showing that not all of them are evil murderers.

  7. Before all the complaining starts episode 6 was a trap by the night King it wasn't terrible horrible writing but they could have should have had some type of foreshadowing maybe when you see the army of the Dead marching they're carrying chains out of Hardhome for some reason

  8. Having read the books and since I have good knowledge of the lore I can confirm that the 7th season was very problematic. The truth is that the problem started from the 5th season when Martin stopped participating actively in the series and the material from the books ended, so D & D had to continue writing the series at the same level. This also exposed their weakness and the truth is that D & D are miserable scriptwriters.
Characters are no longer loyal to themselves and act as different characters, the script has no logic (absurd scenarios, ridiculous martial strategies and convenient plots). The way they are written is very simple and revolves around 5 characters, without caring if they destroy all others for them. There is not even a clear timeline as distances do not count anymore.
It also exposes pretty clear that D & D's choice from the first few seasons to cut off many stories and characters to make the series more commercial. The truth is, however, that GOT is not for everyone. It has too many names, many locations and many characters. If they had faithfully followed the books, the series would have ended up much larger and complex and would have alienated many. It wouldn’t be a series for everyone but honestly it would be realistic and faithful to herself. After all GOT never gave you what you wanted to see and that was why we loved it that much, till now.
Martin himself said that the removal of some characters would lead to big problems in turn because of the "butterfly effect" and he was right. Combined with D & D's inability, the series has been damaged big time. It is obvious that he is now angry with the series and has even made a lot of bitter comments this year.
In the end, for those who know and love Martin's work, GOT will end up as a series that promised everything and while at first it really did, afterwards it failed to offer even the essentials and became a story of zombies and dragons.

  9. Um the things you don't like are on Prestons channel….I started on the show and got to the books in the wait between
3 and 4. I wish I would have waited the book quality and depth really make the show….just a carnival….I would say no problem 1,2,3…..4&5 it was just a voice you could shut out and still enjoy the show. 6…. ok the show kinda sucks but has some awesome episodes….7….nothing says fuck this story quite like a shorter and crappier version of everything that is good.

  10. the ed sheeran thing didnt bother me, cause i honestly didnt know how he looks before.
Dude i was watching it with hates him like none else though, so it was kinda funny.
