Jon doesnt want the iron throne so i seriously doubt he would make any serious claims for it. King of the north is a fitting name for him. But we all know that he doesnt even like ruling. I believe even if he finds out he will still step to the side and let daenaerys have the iron throne.He only care about protecting the human race from the night king. I want him to find out but I feel he should step to the side and let daenerys take over imo.

As much as it would be cool if that guy was Rhaegar let's be honest. There's no way that D&D and GRRM would let that guy get away with a big ass spoiler. Like casting the true main character of GOT would probably be highly confidential and super secretive. Like no one would know who he was until the episode actually aired. Like when Jon Snow was brought back to life, the name used in the scripts for him was LC to keep the character confidential. Idk, I don't wanna get my hopes up too high. :p

If Jon Snow is Azor Ahai and he marries Danny, does it then follow he would have to kill her with his sword, and his sword would then be lightbringer as it would have danny's fire proof dragon blood on it? A bit far out but the ending is supposed to be bittersweet.

*What do you think if Rhaegar actually defeated Robert, but did not want to kill him. Then told him of the Lyanna affair, and confessed his love her, and that everything will be ok, but he needs his support. Robert then (badly wounded) just swings away, catches him off guard, and killed him…?
*Do you think Jon and Dani will be a thing, and then Jon kills her to fullfil the Azor Ahai phofecy? …or, Jon and Dani will be a thing, but Jon doesn’t want the thrown and wants to stay in winterfell and that breaks them apart… or, they do stay in WntFl and the iron thrown goes to sansa and tyrion?
*Do you think in the books theres room for Jon being Brandon and Asharas son, wyle, Rhaegar and Lyanna had a daughter (Dany Stormborn)? Could this have more relevance for all the bronken promise of Ned, Jon to be the Azor Ashai, and Dawn being new Ligth Bringuer?
*Brandon was supposed to be way better then Ned with a Sword… Do you think he could have made Art.Dayne run for his money?…

I believe that HBO confirmed Rhaegar was Jon's dad because of the family tree infographic. I don't think Jon would ever make a play for the Iron Throne, though.

I dont think they'll show much of the Rhaegar/Lyanna story with so few episodes left, as other commenters have said. Sad they made the last 2 seasons shorter.
I just pre-ordered the illustrated 20th anniversary edition of Game of Thrones on amazon for my Kindle. Thanks for sharing about the expanded editions on iTunes 🙂 I wish I had known to compare since I just rebought that 1st book. I'd love to have fancy edition ebooks of each one – this series books & show means a lot to me ♡ Can't wait for the release of Winds of Winter!!

I thought that he would've been playing the role of a younger Bloodraven instead of Rhaegar.

Rhaegar had wielded a sword, but Bloodraven wielded a Weirwood bow. (In the picture it shows that he had a bow.)

Rhaegar and Bloodraven are both Targaryen. Although Bloodraven is a bastard, he did have Valyrian features.

However, it would be pretty useless to cast him as Bloodraven and not Rhaegar.

Am sure Raehgar will appear next season but I really wanted to see them cast Charlie Hunnam in that role. He has the blonde good looks as well as the acting chops and warrior skills. They could dub singing if they had too. Whoever it is, he needs to be good at acting more than singing.
