  1. How can bran and the 3ER see visions in the south when there are no weirwood trees there? Weren't they all cut down? Can they see visions through flames like mel? I don't understand how bran saw his father in the cells in kings landing and also neds beheading when there wasn't a single tree there.

do you think it´s possible, that all this gods are just only one?= the many faced god? = Death? … and maybe the NK created by the chidren is a second one?… and that´s why they battle for the world?
the drowned god, black goat, lion of the night, R´hllor and so on shall be the many faced god, even the old gods of the forrest. But I cant fit it to the Seven. Melisandre is searching for Azor Ahai … Daenerys has R´hllors Dragons … is all pointing to R´hllor in the background… for a second I thought the 7 could be the group fighting the darknes (around AA) but didn´t explain… why Mel is shown as the Crone. 🙁 …or is it because everyone of the 7 is given another part of magic of the many faced god? … the important characters were lead through the story… like Arya by Jaqen, Sansa by LF, Bran by 3ER. … and I bet LF isn´t hungry for power as he wants every one to believe, just building up Sansa to a strong woman… for the role she has to play.

  3. Interesting vid man. I do think that the White Walkers can serve the "Great Other" as champions even if they were created by the Children of the Forest, and the creation of the White Walkers does not a deity make lol. An example from our world is the Hecatoncheires who were the children of the Titians Gaea and Uranus but ended us serving Zeus. I do think the better question is not whether the gods of that world are real but whether GRRM will show anything more the allusions to such power. I sort of compare this to other high epic fantasy in which the old world and its higher power/gods have faded in strength and influence.

  4. I have to debate the Many Face God theory in the show, haven't made it that far in the books yet, but I think he's the God of Death, and the form ofJaqen H'ghar is his true form that's why he keeps popping up kinda like the Grim Reaper training minions for his own cause

  5. Some god is it not, that R'hllor? It needs both blood and fire sacrifice in order for it to do something. Is that payment to convince that god to work the divine magic for a goal that it shares? No that makes no sense – would it work against its goal? That makes even less sense, especially in such an absolutist religion (burning of disbelievers) as that of R'hllor. Does R'hllor need the blood and fire sacrifice for its divine magic to even work? Then why worship or follow it, secular magic could do it just as well. We've seen that many times. Also… Mel's shadow baby-demon, even Mel said that wasn't R'hllor's power.

The books are different from the tv show in this respect too. In the books it's even easier to argue no gods exists. Thoros breaths some magical fire in Beric. We know there is 'secular' fire magic and secular blood magic – so I see something there. Thoros only does it with Beric… maybe because his love and friendship is so big and the magic has a cost (on both Thoros and Beric – Mel's magic has a cost on Stannis too), the cost would be worth it for one iconic figure that's also a real friend, like Beric.

  6. Actually, whatever caused the werewood trees to exist I do accept as the one true deity in the ASOIAF universe. Why? Because the werewood trees are the only things with the proper amount of "I'm so fucking done with all of this shit" in their facial features that would be appropriate for any kind of old or godly being.

  7. Excellent laydown of the religions!!  I really appreciate the videos.  Oh, by the way, I was watching an older video, and there was some asswipe making fun of your so called accent.  I believe his name was "monkey man".  You all gave him a special shout out, which was more than justified.  Your videos, unlike many others, focus on both the books and series, and also; ties everything together nicely.  I leave with a greater understanding of the overall plot; which is deeper than any mine, and expansive beyond comprehension.  Who knows?  Maybe the "Great Other" is some redneck from Alabama?  If so, I hope he visits monkey man.  Take care and thank you!!  Lieutenant Colonel (retired) Mark

  8. Nice video but, if the children of the forest could spy first men through time, thanks the greenseers. Why they didn't do anything with that knowledge? They literally had all time to do something before the first men invasion started.

  9. I agree with most of this, except during the battle of the bastards, you can clearly see that Jon is being protected. The arrows circle around him, kill his horse but not him, and he had so many other close encounters to death during the battle, but Jon somehow made it out. Almost like he was be protected by some god or maybe a greenseer intervening to save him? Bran maybe? Or the Red God?

  10. hey dude. Great video as usual. I think i am getting tired of waiting for the next book. Hopefully if it ever comes out it extends past season 8.
As far as religions the faith of the 7 has been burned down again.
Do you think the blood that uncle benjen gave bran was to help him gain more tree powers?
I think Thoros like Melisande has the ability of casting Red magic but they have to try and at the moment really want that person to come back.
Now the thought of the day do you think since Melisandre gets her fire visions from Bran and Blood raven and the old gods are technically Bran and Bloodraven; Do you think its kind of a game of chess between Bran and blood raven Vs an ancient angry Green sere?

  11. Hey Chris, thanks for the video- ding, new subscriber! Curious, where did you get all the information on the religions/gods? I haven't read too far into the books, so wouldn't know if from there.

I am assuming that the books really get into character development, so something I have wondered about is Dany and Tyrion's relationship. Dany is naive, we have witnessed that in the show, and she really trusted Tyrion quick…is he for sure to be trusted? How well is he going to fight against his own family, regardless of the past. Or is she being smart, "keep your enemies closer." We still don't know how Jaime is going to react to Cersi being Queen, so what is going to trip up Dany? With the past stunners, why not a Tyrion that walks away from the battle? I bet that weirwood.net you eluded to a couple times has some good theory!

  12. Of course, basically, it's a good video. But, of course, in other words, basically, in my opinion, it's a great show. So, of course, for example, basically it's based on a good series of books. So to speak, basically, of course, nice job.

  13. what if the old gods are the great other? And Jon has heritages coming from both of the gods, Targaeryan (Lord Of Light) as well as Stark (Old Gods/Great Other) Thats a possibility. For all we know the end game could include a fight between the two gods

  14. Bran my end up being the champion of the white walkers after all because after getting marked by the night's king, he could be the key to bringing down the wall and expose the rest of humanity to the white walkers. Just a thought…
