I feel like HBO is trying to stretch out there streaming contracts. They're hoping that the people that are only signed up for HBO Go is to get Game of Thrones, will stay on the whole time.

I rather have the show end with good storylines and not a rushed job. At least HBO is transparent about it. Unlike Netflix that just rush their seasons with recent mediocre seasons like House of cards and Orange is the new black.

That sucks, I just got into the show and watched all seven seasons over the past two weeks. Should have held off until later.
At the very least, this would feel like a perfect opportunity for folks like me to catch up on watching the series. I originally wanted to over the summer, but never got around to it. I know that it doesn't really help for those who are already fans of the show, but hey, the doors are open for newbies to dive right in, thus potentially increasing the popularity.

For those of you dissapointed, go back and read the books so you can be excited for WoW which SHOULD be coming out this year.
They are gaining time after the fuck up of Season 6 and Season 7, because they were terrible, full of wish fulfilment characters, plot holes, characters that behaves totally out of character, never the less, HBO wont change really anything, they care for the money, not for doing good storytelling and milking the Jon Snow fans is the fastest way to do that.
This is good. If they'd rushed it, it would have been bad. I'm glad they're taking their time. Hopefully spending A LOT more time on the writing for this final season.

Sony might be optioning the Joe Ledger book series. Its amazing book series. I don't know if it will be tv or movie but if you spoke about it you would have the whole fan base showing up to listen to anything you have to say about it.
If you want I will even send you the books or audiobooks for the joe ledger series.

That's all I can say really. The only positive to this is that hopefully the final season will be quality and not rushed in any way since they're taking the extra time.
And lol @ people thinking they get some sort of badge of honor for not watching GoT. It's your loss, really. No GoT fan cares whether you watch it or not. It's been one of the best television series in the last decade, no one cares if you don't like it.

People still watch the show the characters stoped following the books and stopped making sense and basically turned into fan fiction the show basically I know who is gonna win
