The next episode of Game Of Thrones is set to become the longest episode in the show’s history, coming in at a whopping one hour 22 minutes.

HBO previously confirmed the running times for the final episodes back in March, with the majority of season eight’s episodes spanning over an hour in length.

While the first two episodes were 54 minutes and 58 minutes respectively, episode three’s major battle at Winterfell will give you an extra 24 minutes to pray for your favourite character’s wellbeing.

If you’re concerned your nerves will be in tatters, this will be the longest endurance test you’ll have to face – with episode four clocking in at one hour 18 minutes, while episodes five and six are both one hour 20 minutes.

The next episode looks set to be a major turning point following the happy reunions and battle plans of the first two, with the White Walkers outside Winterfell ready to steamroll their way through, and most likely kill, a number of major characters.

The episode is also directed by Miguel Sapochnik, who is noted for directing some of the show’s most impressive battle sequences like season five’s Hardhome and season six’s Battle Of The Bastards.

But who will survive? And could Arya Stark’s new weapon be a major clue? Only five painful, agonising days to go.
