The Battle Of Winterfell has been won – and now Daenerys Targaryen and Jon Snow have to forge a new plan quick to end the battle of the Iron Throne once and for all in the new Game of Thrones.
First look photos of the gang in action show the survivors of The Long Night itself gathered back in the walls of Winterfell.
Gathering together the dead, the team are seen taking a moment to pay their respects to those whose lives were lost (which, on top of hundreds of Army men, included seven recurring characters that played a key role in the lives of our leading men and women.)
With Jon leading the procession, three of the eight photos teasing the upcoming episode appear to be based at the funeral, as the citizens and their leaders gaze upon the pile of bodies whose lives were sacrificed in a bid to stop the Night King.
But they can’t be too mopey for too long, as a whole new battle is already under preparation – the fight in King’s Landing to take back the throne from Cersei Lannister.
Cersei, who is seen staring upon her kingdom alongside snakey Euron Greyjoy, has one hell of a fight on her hands in order to keep her position reigning the Seven Kingdoms.
The Targaryen boats are seen at sea – so we know that the end is coming. And with Dany’s ever faithful dragon Drogon by her side, they might just be unstoppable.
(If they can figure out what to do next of course in regards to the whole “I’m sleeping with my nephew who’s also the rightful heir to the throne” thing with Jon and Dany.)
With the first half of the final series already over, viewers have been left on tenterhooks as to where things go from here.
One thing’s for certain – noone’s safety is guaranteed, and by the prophecy laid for Arya by Melisandre, Cersei needs to be really careful right about now.
Game Of Thrones continues Sunday on HBO and Sky Atlantic.
