Game Of Thrones may not be returning until 2019, but a constant drip feed of teasers, images and cast interviews will certainly make it feel like the show never left.
The latest is a first poster obtained by Collider from the Licensing Expo, where ‘hundreds of exhibitors representing more than 5,000 brands gather in one place to try and excite retailers to sell their brands’.
In other words it’s not technically an official release, but a piece of key artwork which will be used ‘for people in the licensing industry’.
So what does it reveal? An actual concrete release date? A tease of whether the Night King is about to vanquish and overthrow the seven kingdoms?
Oh. Oh, right.
So it basically tells us nothing, but at least it’s confirmation the show is definitely, definitely coming out in 2019.
But when in 2019? Maisie Williams recently slipped an April release date which she quickly adamantly denied – making it look pretty likely.
The final season will be directed by David Benioff, DB Weiss, David Nutter and Miguel Sapochnik, and executive-produced by GOT author George RR Martin.
