Game of Thrones has dropped another three seconds of season eight, and already there’s plenty to tuck in to.
On Sunday night, HBO released another teaser of what’s to come in 2019, with new Big Little Lies, Watchmen, and, of course, the Game of Thrones finale all dropping on the broadcaster over the coming months.
In the channel’s shameless self-promo, we saw Ayra Stark (played by Maisie Williams) catch her very first glimpse of a dragon – and she was captivated.
As one of Daenerys Targaryen’s (Emilia Clarke) beasts roared through the sky, Arya was almost starstruck, which may spell trouble for her sister Sansa (Sophie Turner).
We previously saw the Mother of Dragons rock up to Winterfell to meet the last remaining members of Jon Snow’s (Kit Harington) family, and Sansa didn’t exactly welcome her potential sister-in-law with welcomed arms.
Arya, however, couldn’t be more impressed so will she desert her sister and join Jon’s cause – also leaving Sansa deserted and potentially vulnerable when the army of the dead are ready for battle?
After almost two years since The Night King (Vladimir Furdik) blew down The Wall with his new weapon, Viserion, and now we are just weeks away from knowing what comes next.
However, while it’s been the worst kept secret since Jon Snow’s revival that Tormund (Kristofer Hivju) survived the blast, we’re slightly concerned by the cast list for episode one, which was accidentally leaked by HBO earlier this month.
While fans were delighted to see the return of Tobias Menzies, who’s about to star as Prince Philip in The Crown, as Edmure Tully, and Lino Facioli as Robin Arryn, the Night King was noticeably missing…
Where could he be?
Game of Thrones returns to HBO and Sky Atlantic on April 14.
