Game Of Thrones has received a new trailer ahead of season eight’s launch, giving another glimpse at the final race for the Iron Throne.

The fantasy drama phenomena is set to return for its final season in just over a week, which will answer who will emerge victorious between the White Walker army, Jon Snow (played by Kit Harington), Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke), and Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey).

The trailer itself shows a number of items from specific characters, including Jaime Lannister’s (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) fake hand, Jon Snow’s sword, and a dragonglass arrow.

Naturally, the absence of our heroes and an abandoned Winterfell doesn’t provide much hope and fans are terrified.

‘Jaime’s hand buried in the snow and Jon’s sword covered in snow as well. Uh oh….,’ gasped one petrified viewer, whose concerns were echoed by thousands.

Another cried: ‘WHAT THE HELL?!?! OMGGG, Jamie’s hand, Jon’s sword, Lyanna’s feather!!! Just… OMG!’

The ominous new clip follows a trailer released last month, which teased huge battles at Winterfell and showcased Cersei’s secret weapon, The Golden Company.

The final eighth season will have six episodes, a relatively small amount considering how many branching plot threads there are to wrap up.

If you’re upset over the show’s end, a prequel spin-off set thousands of years before Game Of Thrones is already in the works, starring Naomi Watts, John Simm, and more.

Haven’t watched any Game of Thrones yet? Well, screenwriter for the HBO epic, Bryan Cogman, has got you covered.

The show’s executive producer revealed his pick for the 21 most essential Game of Thrones episodes of the past seven seasons so you can plow through those in time for season eight.

Game Of Thrones season eight kicks off Sunday 14 April on HBO and Sky Atlantic, while seasons one to seven are currently available to stream on NOW TV.
