Guess what? There’s going to be more death in Game Of Thrones season eight.
The show killed off a number of characters in latest episode The Long Night, as The Night King faced off against Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen at Winterfell castle.
While the casualties managed to be both expected and unexpected, it seems the biggest surprises are yet to come going by the vague words of a stunt co-ordinator on the show.
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, stunt co-ordinator Rowley Irlam explained how they handled Theon Greyjoy’s final bow, saying: ‘Our whole team as stunt performers work on these scenes for months and months. We’re all fans of the show.
‘Everybody in front of the camera and behind the camera, whether it’s their first season or they’ve done every season, it’s always the same: they’re fans of the show.’
So what’s so bad about that? Wait for it.
‘It’s very poignant whether we lose a character. I can’t really tell you what’s going to come in the wars to come, but that’s not the last moment of that type, I have to assure you.’
Interestingly, Emilia Clarke recently teased how episode five requires the biggest TV you can find for some unexplained reason – is that when the biggest twist of all will arrive?
Speaking to Metro.co.uk, director David Nutter previously teased how there’ll be a Red Wedding equivalent in the final season, so all signs are pointing towards some kind of shock.
But if we’re expecting a shock will it work as a shock? Or is the shock that there’ll be no shock at all? Make time faster, please.
Game Of Thrones continues Sunday on HBO and Sky Atlantic. You can catch up on the episodes so far on NOW TV.
