In this video we discuss one theory of how J thinks Game of Thrones may end. Careful for spoilers on all prior seasons. In this theory we discuss the intent and goals of the white walkers. We also discuss Geroge R.R. Martin and his criticisms of Lord of the Rings, and his objections to war.

The theory in sum is that the White Walkers may be more complex than the evil that they have been portrayed as. Maybe the prior Long Night ended as a result of a truce between the Last Hero and the White Walkers. Maybe the wall was built by the White Walkers and was agreed to as a boundary line between men and the White Walkers. If this is the case maybe another peace agreement could be made that would spare everyone a war, and would not fall in the cliche of good vs evil.

This theory also picks up on the information that we know of one other agreement between the White Walkers and men. The White Walkers agreement with Crastor. Crastor agreed to sacrifice his baby sons to the White Walkers, and in return they left him alone.

So the final piece of the puzzle is that Jon Snow and Daenerys will have a child together and that child will be the prince which was promised, and that the child will be a peace offering to the White Walkers. The White Walkers would find value in a child with Kings blood and it would be an alternative to a long and violent war.

Let us know what you think.

  1. Omfg noooooooo no more undead babies that's horrible. John would never do that. Did you not listen to his conversation with Mance Raider ??? He hated what Craster was doing. John and Daenyris are going to be together. Idk if they will stay together or if both will survive but get used to idea pal that this is going to happen. Also this is GOT it's a part of the era it is set in that incest happens. One of the Starks also married his aunt for crying out loud. If this was Star Wars I'd be disgusted by the thought of it, but this is GOT so it's not really phasing me much. I understand why you might come to the conclusion you did but I don't think that it's going to play out that way.

  2. Some observations:
    1. As I am a critic of this season, I think how HBO will end the show will be considerably different on how GRRM will end the books. I think you are correct that the books will not end in a good vs. evil battle — it will be more complicated than that. How will HBO end it? My prediction will be Jon will kill the wight king and every one will live happily ever after.
    2. As targarians, J and D would be okay hooking up and ruling the kingdom together. I don't think incest will fly in a HBO ending, and I don't think it will be that easy in the books.
    3. This was a good point: what do the walkers want? I don't think HBO will develop this.
    4. The HBO happily-ever-after-ending will happen like this: (1) Jon will kill the wight king with Bran's and Sam's aid, (2) the good dragons will kill the bad dragon, and Danny will be a part of this, and (3) Jamie will kill Cersei. Since Jon bent the knee, he will be the warden of the north, and Danny will be queen.
    5. Since they have been grooming this plot line, who will succeed Danny I don't know. Maybe Jorah will knock her up
