I dont believe Jon will ever ride a dragon

Well if D and D want to royally piss everyone off they could have it end with Jon never riding a dragon, but maybe Bran instead?

GRRM Song of Ice and Fire books have been changed so that even the 'dragon lore' of the books may not hold for the series, as far as who can ride a dragon and when. D&D will throw a bone to the masses and have Jon rise a dragon, one way or another.

Rhaegal is the forgotten middle child who hasn't gotten enough attention! I really hope they can give him some screen time and have Jon ride him, that's what I've always assumed would happen. I think Dany and Drogon are so well bonded he wouldn't accept another rider. My theory is also Dany and Drogon will die together, so that leaves plenty of Jon and Rhaegal time. Rhaegal will be lost without his mother and his brothers, so he will bond to Jon. If it doesn't happen on the show, I truly believe it will happen in the books!

I hope drogon's acceptance of Jon was a foreshadow of Daneryas accepting jon's love.. and that Jon will ride rhaegal, but this is GOT…guys… anything can happen ! as far as rhaegal..I was kinda hoping Arya would ride him..lol

Rhaegal will probably get killed off by Viserion because the show writers are that rubbish.

I think Jon will ride Rhaegal but sadly Rhaegal might die. If you notice Jon hasn't ridden Drogon. Some might say because he fell into the lake but I think that scene served more than just to end Benjen's story. It kept Jon off Drogon too. I also think it might mirror Aemon one eyes situation where he just jumps on Vaghar, Jon may just hop on Rhaegal.

3:56 = I for one do hope that Danearys ends up dying either before or during the final battle against The Night King's forces. I am not a big fan of her nor do I want to see her rule Westeros at the end as she is just so overbearingly arrogant & vain.

I prefer to see Jon bond with Rheagal also, especially since Rheagal is named after Jon's biological father Rheagar Targaryen so it makes more sense to see Jon ride Rheagal than Drogon. But I think that maybe the reason they had Jon interact with Drogon instead of Rheagal in S#7 was quite possibly a potential foreshadowing of Jon succeeding Danearys as Drogon's future new rider and hinting that Danearys is fated to die in S#8 but Drogon survives and chooses Jon as his new master.

Again, I'm with you in that I want to see Jon bond with & ride Rheagal but seeing Jon ride Drogon would be an amazing sight plus Jon riding & bonding with Drogon would signify a fatal end for Danearys herself.

In the books, there is mention that there's a dragon at Winterfell. When Targaryen children are born their given a dragon egg. I believe Rhagar gave Jon a dragon egg and Lyana gave it to Ned along with Jon for him to keep safe. I think that Jons dragon is what has kept the water heated at Winterfell. I think this is what's hidden in the tombs of Winterfell that Ned Stark has kept secret all these years.

Jon will ride Reagal. Giving us something new, like introducing him as more of a main character, Would make it more exciting for us as show watchers. Jon Snow wasn’t a main character at first either.

Possibly Jon's introduction to Drogon, was a nod to Jon's possibly riding him in a moment of dire emergency. Like yourself, I would luv to Jon ride Rhagael. Two Dragons(Jon/Daeny) riding side by side into battle, a major battle! This would be awesome! But in the event Rhagael, does go down(yikes) Drogon imprinted with Jon's scent, would allow him to ride him! I hope!

I think, Jon will ride Drogon. If Danny dies or becomes unable to ride (due to pregnancy), Drogon will let Jon ride him
