The 30-year-old – who is currently starring in BBC’s Gunpowder – revealed what he’s hoping for the Bastard of Winterfell and the Queen of Dragons, played by Emilia Clarke.

“I really hope that he just nods slowly and goes, ‘Damned right’. Something really horribly inappropriate, and you found out Jon Snow‘s had a really sick mind the whole time,” he told the Guardian.

“That’s the way I’d love to play it. I’ll try it for one take, anyway.”

Kit also revealed that he’s terrified of the original Game of Thrones pilot being leaked – which bosses have threatened to do, to keep the star in line.

“They made a lot of mistakes. It didn’t look right, didn’t feel right, had nothing different about it,” he explained. “They say, if I ever p**s them off too much, they’ll release it on YouTube. Every now and then, they send me a screengrab, just as a threat.”

During a recent appearance on The One Show, Kit admitted that reading the final episode of Game of Thrones ever brought him to tears.

Game of Thrones season 8 release date news: When will it start, how will it end?

“I’m really emotional about it. We had the read through last week, so I know everything,” he enthused.

“I cried at the end! It wasn’t anything particular that happens. You have to remember, I’ve done eight years of it. I think, no-one really cares about [Game of Thrones] more than us.”

Game of Thrones season 8 is expected to return to HBO and Sky Atlantic in 2019. Seasons one to seven are currently available to stream on NOW TV.
