Game Of Thrones season eight may see the return of a pivotal character following an actor’s casual slip-up on Instagram.
The eighth season is currently filming which inevitably sparks teasing social media posts from actors, but the latest may have confirmed the return of a crucial character with more revelations to come.
Wilf Scolding previously played Rhaegar Targaryen – Jon Snow’s father – in season seven, being shown in flashbacks which revealed the King Of The North’s true parentage.
Scolding has now posted a picture of himself (via Winter Is Coming) outside the Europa Hotel in Belfast on Instagram. While it could be mere coincidence filming is taking place in Belfast, the actor has since deleted the post indicating an awareness of his spoiler-y presence.
It’s probably not too surprising Rhaegar will return, considering there’s yet to be a very awkward chat between Jon Snow and Daenerys over their family connection following their blossoming romance.
So will Bran Stark aka The Three Eyed Raven be taking more jumps in time to deliver revelations over Rhaegar Targaryen and Lyanna Stark? It’s certainly looking likely.
It was recently claimed the show has cast eight new characters, including such iconic roles as ‘Strong Soldier’ and ‘Young Village Girl’.
Game Of Thrones season eight will release sometime in 2019.
