Jon Snow and Cersei Lannister could be set to come face to face in Game Of Thrones season 8.

Stars Lena Headey, who plays Cersei, and Kit Harington, who plays King in the North Jon Snow, were seen filming tense scenes in Croatia this week as work on the final season continues.

The pair filmed on set in Dubrovnik, which is used for King’s Landing in the hit HBO show.

Kit was dressed in Jon’s all-black attire complete with fur-lined cape, while Lena looked formidable as Cersei in a fitted black dress.

Jon and Cersei will be coming face to face for the first time since he last tried to convince the Queen that they had a common enemy in the wights.

Jon’s true parentage was revealed in the season 7 finale, which meant he is the true heir to the Iron Throne.

The new pictures from the set comes after the Winterfell set in Northern Ireland was seen on fire as production prepared for an ‘epic battle scene’.

Filming on the show’s final season is rolling on with the series set to air in 2019, although an exact date hasn’t been confirmed.

Star Peter Dinklage, who plays Tyrion Lannister, recently said the finale will be ‘heartbreaking’.

Speaking of his reaction to reading the last scripts for the show, he said: ‘It was heartbreaking and the end of an era’.
