Ned Stark was doomed to die in any case in Game of Thrones ?

The season 8 of Game of Thrones may be over for a good time – the entire series is still available on the OCS – it doesn’t mean that we can do nothing more learn. A theory has recently emerged about a mysterious character of the series : Jaqen H Ghar, and its role. Jaqen has been a key figure for Arya because he has opened the door of the faceless and it is thanks to him that she has been doing her training to then avenge his family by killing Walder Frey. But, before that, many fans wondered what was the reason for the presence of Jaqen in King’s Landing.

Game of Thrones saison 8 : Ned Stark aurait pu être tué par ce personnage clé pour Arya

When Arya meets Jaqen, she is in the caravan of prisoners who are preparing to go to the Wall. But that was Jaqen here ? Several theories have been put forward, including one that stipulates that Jaqen was hired by Cersei Lannister – possibly accompanied by his brother Jaime to kill Ned Stark. In fact, Ned has made the mistake of revealing his hand to Cersei, saying that he was aware of his incest. Therefore, the queen obviously wanted to protect and because she thought Joffrey was going to send Ned to the Wall, Cersei would have been able to ensure that an assassin would take care of Ned so that he does not reveals its secrets to anyone else.

The father of Arya would have been killed by the man who has been a huge influence on his destiny. Of course if it had happened, his story would have been much different, since it is precisely the beheading of Ned who has pushed Jojen to ship Arya and hide it among the prisoner going to the Wall. In the end we do not know, therefore, still not what brought Jaqen in King’s Landing at this precise moment, but only that it is quickly bound with Arya, and that he then sought to help the young Stark to navigate the murky waters of Westeros. Once again, there would have been enough of a detail to drastically change the course of things in the 8 seasons of Game of Thrones.
