To be honest I don't thonk the Umbers and Karstarks will be added to the army. By now ravens will have gone out to those houses (since Bran has seen the army breach the wall) and they will hopefully have evacuated and come to winterfell for refuge. Sansa already had all the food reserves transported to winterfell in case of a scenario like this.

I think every already knows the ending. If they shoot anything extra it would just be for fun. With only 6 episodes left I can wait rather than guess on spoilers.

Even though Sansa was trained by Littlefinger and Cercie she is actually dumber than Jon. If he had taken those homes from those kids he would have sowed seeds of revenge, and at some point those kids would plan a revenge attack. By showing forgiveness he claimed their eternal loyalty, that's thinking for the long term. So yea even though the show is really trying to convince the audience Sansa is super smart her actions are making her look foolish.

I hope we get the stark reunion early on, because I worry that they will drag that til mid-late season
