Game Of Thrones is looking to be as epic as you’d expect judging by new on-set pictures, showing the construction of a huge castle.
A new castle is being built in Belfast’s Titanic Quarter, which HBO have spent a staggering £1 million to bring to life.
Work has reportedly lasted five months on the construct, which is touted as the most expensive project of its kind in Northern Ireland.
The castle looks weirdly similar to Winterfell, possibly hinting there could be a big battle around the ancestral home of House Stark. Will the north come under fire?
It could however be an entirely new castle, featuring turrets and ramparts, which will undoubtedly form the basis of a crucial scene or battle in the upcoming final season.
The first poster for Game Of Thrones season 8 recently dropped, confirming a 2019 release date which is, frankly, way too far away.
The final season will be directed by David Benioff, DB Weiss, David Nutter and Miguel Sapochnik, and executive-produced by GOT author George RR Martin.
Game Of Thrones is set to return to HBO and Sky Atlantic in 2019.
