You are so right, if they had done the Aegon/Blackfyre storyline instead of Dorne or actually had Arianne be part of the story, the last 3 seasons would have been so much better. There's enough material from the books so D&D wouldn't have come up with subpar plots/writing.

I genuinely think the Ice & Fire/GoT fandom could have done a better job. Or HBO should have insisted D&D remain faithful as possible to the books. I'm just hoping the final season is great. I had initially decided I wasn't going to watch and just wait for the books but it's going to be difficult to avoid spoilers and who knows when TWOW will be published let alone ADOS.

The reason they didn't do the Blackfyre storyline is because they combined Aegon Targaeryan from the books with Jon Snow in the TV show. Aegon was the one born at the tower of joy but D&D were really fascinated with R+L=J so they decided to go that route instead. This may also explain why some dornish storylines like Arianne were cut it out as they would come into conflict with this. This is just a theory tho.

This guy was in Into the Badlands season 2 he reminds me of Ralph Fiennes both in looks and acting not as skillful but some similarities.

It won't be the first time the show director's borrowed from another character. You right the show has a ton of characters but I think we did pretty good keeping up. Will the golden company fight for Cersei?

The whole Dorne disappointment was no one's fault but Dan and Dave's.  They cut half of their filmed scenes and stunted their growth and development in the show, then quickly got rid of them.  A total waste.  The worst part is the actresses took the hit for it all.

I think a lot of this is to throw people off so no one thinks script leaks are real and scenes are not possibly real.  I don't believe they're not being given scripts or filming multiple endings.
