In this brief video I give my opinion on the most recent Game of Thrones season 8 news from “Watchers on the Wall”. I talk about a major potential action sequence in Winterfell between the White Walkers or the Golden Company. There are also casting calls that go in depth on what new characters we can expect on the show.

I figured Winterfell would be an important spot since the crypts have basically been a character from the beginning. That's the way most stories go , you introduce your main characters in the beginning. We have been in the crypts way too much for it notto play a role in the outcome of the show. The Night Kings defeat or desire is in the crypts.
I think the sassy female character will be Lyanna Stark in one of Bran's flashbacks, I know there's already an actress playing Lyanna Stark in Bran's flashbacks but it wouldn't be the first time that GoT has changed casting (i.e. Dario). The flashback scene would be back to when Howland Reed first meets the Starks at the tourney of Harrenhal, when he's bullied by a bunch of squires and protected by Lyanna Stark.
I don't reckon they'd be building up sets if they weren't to be used. Casting? I remember all the excitement of the cast for last season, and it really didn't amount to much IIRC. Still, it's fun to think of possible meanings to each call. I'd bet on the 'sailor' to be part of Euron crew. the 'rider' to be a member of the Golden Company and the 'wench'…hmmm. Maybe a variant of Miranda Royce. These are pre-coffee guesses.
I am most worried about the food shortage (especially when I think of Dany burning all that grain). If the golden company does hold a siege on Winterfell how would they evade the walkers? They could die super early in the season. Have you thought about If the Night King goes south to Kings Landing instead of Winterfell? It would be crazy if the golden company gets slaughtered immediately and Cersei's plan fails that fast.
Will the golden company stay down south or march north, I would think the weather will be an issue. What will Euron do now that Jamie is gone, will he kill Cersi and take the iron throne, I would think they would wait it out down south and fight the survivors. There is also Theon will he try to rescue Yara and kill Euron, if this happens will he get the iron born and GC to go north and help fight the NK and his army?

I do agree that the reason they actually built it is for some kind of battle with the dead. So exciting to think! This will be the longest wait in my life. BUT atleast they dont want to rush the ending and make it shit, as that would basically set the tone for the whole show, just like Lost 😛 Glad to have ur vids back Max! Keep em coming.
EDIT Do you think the dead kings of winter in the crypts will have any significance in season 8? What if Bran could summon them to help?
