A new poster has been released for Game Of Thrones season eight, and everyone’s dead.
Nope, we’re not kidding. All your favourites like Jon Snow, Daenerys Targaryen, Jaime Lannister and the Night King are all sparked out and carefully placed into an Iron Throne shape. Properly dead.
It’s pretty bleak and follows a similar ‘everyone’s dead’ sentiment displayed in the recent Aftermath trailer, showing key items and weapons from the main players abandoned around Winterfell.
If we went all Sherlock Holmes, it’d be wise to assume there’ll be no winners in the final season. But what if that’s what HBO wants us to believe? What if Podrick rises from the ashes to become the king Westeros deserves?
A previous trailer gave us a better look at what to expect, teasing huge battles at Winterfell and showcased Cersei’s secret weapon, The Golden Company.
The final season will consist of six episodes, so there’s not much time left for everyone to reach a (potentially) grisly fate.
If you’re upset over the show’s end, a prequel spin-off set thousands of years before Game Of Thrones is already in the works, starring Naomi Watts, John Simm and more.
Game Of Thrones season eight kicks off Sunday 14 April on HBO and Sky Atlantic, while seasons one to seven are currently available on NOW TV.
