  1. Bran missing the target. Well, he didn't miss to the side, or the bottom. The arrow went much "higher" than the target. Indicating that Bran's story line takes him on a higher path. He's made for more important things. Mere mortals fight with bows and arrows and blades on the ground, but the Crow fights on a higher and more complex plain. It may mean he has to aim higher than just settling the matter of who sits the Iron Throne. It's a stretch, but I kind of like it.

  2. "Don't look away. Father will know if you do." If you want to connect it to the Tower of Joy, it could mean that Jon was telling Bran that if he allowed the Crow to pull him back to the present – "that's enough for today…." – he would miss learning of Jon's birth. "Father will know if you do," could mean "If you do turn away as the Crow suggests, Father will know the truth about Jon's birth, but you won't and you need to know because you're the one who is going to reveal the truth."

I know I'm stretching it, but isn't that what you've asked us to do:

  3. Hello to you. I think that when Jon tells Bran to not look away because father will see you could be a foreshadow of Ned's death and the dreams that Bran has of his father. Ned is still watching Bran from beyond (possible). That is my thought on it anyway.

  4. I have been watching your videos for 2 days straight prepping for season 7 and 8. Your videos are so in depth, I absolutely love them.
There was one comment that always stood out to me that you missed though, when Ghost is mentioned as the runt of the litter and Theon comments that he's perfect for Jon, I don't think this is just about his bastard status, but more that he's something different.

  5. I think that Arya turning up ans shooting the arrow and hitting the bullseye was foreshadowing of her coming in at the last moment (maybe season 8) in the war against the White Walkers, maybe to save brand.

  6. Glad you mentioned the mountain lion line. I always thought that was a nice little addition to the book scene to expand on the symbolism without knocking you over the head with it.

  7. don't you think the foreshadowing for the direwolf and the stag , is like Baratheons and Starks would be enemies/baratheon wins but the outcome is there are pups left. and even tho one those isn't birthed from the same mother. I wonder why the biggest one is all white and already more defensive from people because they find ghost alone away from the others. where do you think ghost came from?

  8. I think the 'don't look away' scene is actually foreshadowing something that has to do with Jon more than Bran. I don't however believe it's been revealed yet as what the true meaning is. It could have something to do with Jon's understanding his parentage. Another possibility is that Bran will revisit the execution of Ned with whatever it is that Ned is saying right before being beheaded having some implication in a future event — don't look away or you'll miss what father knows. Or it's simply a line meant to illustrate just how violent their world is with a child having to witness a beheading.

  9. I think Bran's arrow scene and is significant in that they emphasizes what an unfitting, typical Lord Bran would make. So he's trying to be like the men around him, especially his father, but he is just not meant for that life, but instead for a greater purpose. Him missing the mark with the arrow is the universe saying, I believe, "let this part of you go." The scene with Jojen clarifies for Bran what he actually should be 'aiming' for. Now on the other hand the "Don't look away" bit along with a reason why "father will know" may be the universe telling Bran to PAY ATTENTION. As the 3 eyed crow that asset is imperative. And also idk, but I think one of the 7 (the faith of the seven) is The Father.
So that's something to think about.

  10. I wondered if the dream sequences involving Bran and the bow, symbolize that Bran will not follow the traditional path of the Stark men as a warrior per se. But there were some interesting scenes with the special saddle that is made for Bran and different characters mention he would be able to shoot arrows from the saddle with enough practice and in one scene he tells Robb he can now ride well in the saddle. Wonder if Bran might still play some kind of warrior role in the military way but not the traditional Northern way, in addition to being a metaphorical warrior as a 'tree wizard' (Love how Issac Wright characterized his role in one interview)

  11. Maybe Jon telling Bran "don't look away" indicates all Bran will see through the weirnet! Or is foreshadowing something that we have not seen yet in the series. First episode foreshadowing the very last episode of the series. Something that will be so hard to see (probably through the weirnet) that Bran (and maybe the viewer) will have great difficulty watching and that thing will be about Jon!
