How will Game of Thrones end? Game of Thrones season 7 ended with the Night King passing south of The Wall, changing the map of Westeros forever. Erik Voss makes some big predictions for season 8. Where will the Night King go next? Will Cersei fulfill the witch’s prophesy? What does the Night King want? Will the Hound fight the Mountain? What will the final shot of the series be… and will it connect to the title of George R. R. Martin’s final book, A Dream of Spring? None of these predictions are based on any inside knowledge from the show — these are all just educated guesses on what we THINK will happen!

  1. Cersi's gonna be the last hope whether she wants to be or not because she is gonna destroy King's Landing to keep anyone, living or dead from sitting on the Iron Throne. I think she'll do it with the city full of people, Jamie will try to stop her but she will already have set it in motion and when the Night King's army enters the city… with Wildfire hot enough to burn Viseryn out of the sky like the Doom destroyed (or whatever that was! Volcanos anyone?) the Targaryen's original home… Kings Landing will burn. Some of our heros and maybe some peasants will make it out but not many of them. I can see both Dany & Jon dying leaving a child behind to EVENTUALLY restore the throne (it is made of Iron after all) and rule years later once enough is restored to worry about stuff like all that.

  2. Also, a prediction I have is that the fight is not just the army of the dead coming from the North. With a dragon, the Night King can fly all over Westeros, killing and raising Wights. I predict attacks from all sides and Cersei is not as safe as she thinks she is.

  3. Jon and Dany die, Night King controls Westeros and brings an unending Winter. Jon and Dany's baby is Azor Ahai, AKA a Dream of Spring (the hope for an end to the Winter/Night–Spring/Dawn). BOOM. Bring on the next series.

  4. What if Jaime is the hero from the legend of lightbringer, so he´s Azor Ahai (and not Jon) and he will kill Cersei not only because she´ll go mad so she´s his Nissa Nissa ?

  5. I want jamy to survive at the end , briyana and the whiled ling king end up together john and daneris will marry and rule cersy will die pajnfuly and arya will become same is she i love her and her sister will dye i never liked her anyways

  6. I am hoping that Spring is more metaphorical– perhaps the WW problem will be resolved (how, i'm not sure) as well as "the wheel of power," ushering in an age of democracy and enlightenment in Westeros.

  7. Small problem with incest makes the baby of Jon and Dany a dwarf thing: Targaryen babies born of incest were rarely, if ever, deformed. They were usually quite beautiful in fact with no physical deformities whatsoever. Targaryens, like all the families of Valyria, were said to have magically mixed their blood with that of dragons, which is WHY they practiced inbreeding in the first place – to keep that magical blood pure.

Targaryen (Valyrian) DNA does not work the same as regular human DNA. The only real side-effect of Targaryen inbreeding is that sometimes a Targaryen would go mad, but that's kinda it. In fact, there appears to have been MORE complications when Targaryens breed with someone who DOESN'T have Valyrian blood than when they do. So, ironically, Dany has a better chance of not only having a healthy baby with Jon, but of actually living through the birth of the child than she does if Jon wasn't half-Targaryen.

  8. Don't ask me how, because I don't know the Targaryen family tree or history well enough to come up with a sperm donor explanation, but I bet that Tyrian is eventually revealed to be a Targaryen. The dragons did not kill him when he went down to unchain them, so he obviously has some kind of connection with dragons.

  9. I actually think that the NK destroying the Wall was a Bran's vision of the future, yes in the series it's said that he can only visualize the past and present, but the scene before wall's destruction was Bran looking like having a vision, IDK, it's just a theory…

  10. Regarding the dragon flying over kings landing, I guess that is not the knight guard attacking. its already snowing in there (as we saw snow on jamie's hand) and when the night king will arrive kings landing it will be all white.

  11. final scene is going to be sad I feel like. kind of like the scene with john on the ice island. the knight king is going to break through their final defenses and kill them all
