It’s been 10 years since Sophie Turner and Maisie Williams were cast as sisters for Game Of Thrones, and their bestie bond is clearly as strong as ever.

But it’s never been more obvious than when they team up on the red carpets for each new season, with their looks only getting more (ice and) fire as the years go on.

Playing the female power of the Stark household, the duo play Arya and Sansa Stark, and while their separate adventures into adulthood have been horrific to say the least, Maisie teased that they’ll unite by series end.

‘It felt nice and powerful to stand next to Sophie. Sophie and I are the tightest of friends when sitting across from anyone, so no acting required,’ Maisie told EW.

Ending their fashion hot streak on a high note at the New York premiere for season 8 on 3 April, the duo didn’t seem to notice they were wearing fancy gowns as tiny Maisie ran into the arms of Sophie, who scooped her up in her arms.

It’s clear the girls have a connection that will last a lifetime, and it’s also clear that their wardrobe is something we wish we could raid immediately.

Their playful nature has been clear throughout the decade on the red carpet, with one photo of them pulling faces and serving attitude in 2016 being absolutely iconic.

We’re just gutted that there was no red carpet fashion moments for us to celebrate for Game of Thrones in 2018.

Over the years, their friendship goals have been tugging at our heartstrings, something that Sophie had previously put down to their differences proving to be complimentary rather than dividing them.

She told Nylon mag: ‘I’ve always seen Maisie as this rebellious, cool kid, while I’m more passive-aggressive, or else just passive. I hate that about myself, and I love that Maisie is just who she is.

‘We spent the past five years basically sharing a hotel room (even though we each had our own), having endless sleepovers, lots of line rehearsals, and lots of food and messing about, too.’

The feeling is obviously mutual, with Maisie telling Rolling Stone earlier this year: ‘I thought Sophie was the coolest thing I’d ever seen [when they first met].’

‘Like, we’re best friends. And they could see that all those years ago, and it must have been real magic watching these two girls have the best time together,’ she added.

We’re not crying, YOU’RE crying.

With 10 days to go before the start of the final season commences, what will happen is really being kept under wraps – even if they do troll us at every opportunity.

One of the latest posters sees all our favourite characters dead in the snow, while Maisie declared Arya Stark as dead in an April Fools prank on Jimmy Fallon.

Sophie has put her fiance Joe Jonas under lock and key as well, with the singer signing an NDA to make sure he keeps his mouth shut over what he knows.

Not too much longer until we find out the truth.

Game Of Thrones returns 14 April on HBO and Sky Atlantic, and you can catch up now on NOW TV.
