Game of Thrones villain Cersei Lannister (played by Lena Headey) is about to meet her maker, most likely.
Season eight is just months away from airing, however, little is known about what’s coming in the finale.
One person who does know, is Lena, but the actress remained tight-lipped when she appeared on This Morning.
The actress appeared on ITV earlier today to advertise her new film, Fighting With My Family, but Phillip Schofield couldn’t help and quiz her on the upcoming season.
When he brought it up, Lena immediately said she “couldn’t say anything” about Game of Thrones.
But Phillip continued: “It’s done, it’s wrapped, it’s in the can… it’s over.”
She agreed, before he pressed and wondered if it was nerve-wracking before each season thinking their time could be up.
Lena joked: “Yes, I think we all go right to the back of every script and think, ‘Yes, I’m still employed!’
“And now we’re not…” she giggled.
The actress went on to discuss what it was like finishing the show, and she admitted she was feeling relieved.
Lena continued: “It’s a bit more relaxing and I don’t have to wear that wig… Joy!”
Last night at the Oscars, Game of Thrones featured in a teasing clip from HBO.
The broadcaster showed viewers at the 91st Academy Awards what was coming up and it included some season eight footage.
Arya Stark (Maisie Williams) can be seen in the short clip glancing towards the sky.
It’s a dragon that has caught her attention and she seems to be thrilled with the idea.
The blink-and-you-miss-it-moment was followed by a mash-up of some highlights from season seven.
In it, the Night King (Vladimir Furdik) can be seen about to throw his spear at Viserion.
Furthermore, Jon Snow (Kit Harington) appears looking seriously worried.
But will Arya make it out alive when she heads to battle?
Game of Thrones season 8 returns April 14 to HBO and follows the day after on Sky Atlantic in the UK.
