A photo purporting to be from the set of Game of Thrones season eight at the Titanic Studios in Belfast appears to show a huge Dothraki hut, suggesting that the horse people will have a big part to play in the final series.

While it is unknown whether this picture – shared by Spanish site Los Siete Reinos – is indeed a recent one or an old image, the implication is that fans can expect some sweeping battle sequences involving the Dothraki.

According to the publication, the hut in the image was on set with two other similar structures – one of which was reportedly “much larger” than the other two.

As fans know, the Belfast studio is considered the headquarters of Game of Thrones and a lot of filming takes place there, including many North-set storylines.

Could the Dothraki hut be part of Daenerys Targaryen’s (played by Emilia Clarke) armies as they begin their battle with the Night King (Vladimir Furdik) and his army of the White Walkers?

The Dothraki have been loyal to the Mother of Dragons, even crossing the Narrow Sea to fight her war, and now it looks like their time has come to face off with the evil undead.

It would also suggest that Daenerys remains in the dark about Cersei Lannister’s (Lena Headey) betrayal and plans to take the Seven Kingdoms for herself because she has taken all her forces North.

Production on season eight is only just getting underway on the final six instalments of the HBO fantasy drama, however it appears that the show has already suffered a leak after an outline for episode one seemed to surface online.

Season seven was blighted with a hack as well as an accidental leak when episode six was made available days before broadcast, leading to the instalment getting illegally shared across the internet before the mistake was rectified.

An outline for season seven also turned up on Reddit before the finale, containing detailed information about the scenes from all seven of the episodes and crucially the final scene from The Dragon and The Wolf.

Fans have also be sharing their theories about season eight including the plans of the Night King once he’s breached The Wall.

It is not yet known when Game of Thrones season eight will finally be hitting screens but the earliest projections suggest 2018 or early 2019.

Game of Thrones will return with season 8.
