*Warning, lots of Game Of Thrones spoilers ahead.

Game Of Thrones season eight is right around the corner with bookmakers delivering odds on who could die in the grand finale and fans fearing the worst.

But George RR Martin basically revealed in his original pitch letter that either Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage) or Jon Snow (Kit Harington) will definitely die because of a ‘deadly rivalry’ and we don’t know what to feel.

The document states: ‘Exiled, Tyrion will change sides, making common cause with the surviving Starks to bring his brother down, and falling helplessly in love with Daenerys while he’s at it.

‘His passion is, alas, unreciprocated, but no less intense for that, and it will lead to a deadly rivalry between Tyrion and Jon Snow.’

Actor Peter Dinklage has already confirmed that Tyrion wreaks of jealousy in the upcoming series, having told Entertainment Weekly: ‘A lot of the time with Tyrion, it’s professional and personal.

‘Obviously, he has feelings for Daenerys. There’s jealousy wrapped up in there.’

In another interview, Peter hinted that Tyrion might be killed off, telling Vulture: ‘I feel very, very — I’m trying to find the right word.

‘I think he was given a very good conclusion. No matter what that is — death can be a great way out.’

Could his time be up?

According to Betway last month, the odds are 1/2 that Tyrion will die in the series finale of Game Of Thrones.

Speaking about shooting his last scene, Peter added to the publication: ‘But as anticlimactic as it was, my last day was also beautifully bittersweet.

‘A lot of people whom I love were on set that day. Even if they weren’t working, they came to set, which was beautiful.’

Game Of Thrones returns 14 April on Sky Atlantic and NOW TV.
