Game of Thrones is due to return to TV screens in a matter of weeks.
But although the HBO epic is due to return with a bang, fans will only be getting six weeks worth of episodes.
However brutal the final chapters of the series will be, viewers are hoping to find an answer to their questions, including: Who will claim the throne at the end of the season?
Cersei Lannister (played by Lena Headey) is in the running for the throne as she currently resides in King’s Landing with a powerful army.
Although it is as of yet unknown whether Cersei will make it to the end of the season alive, Lena has now spoken out about her final scenes.
Speaking to Variety she announced: “My last day on set was really weirdly tedious.
“Because I just had to shoot going up and down these stairs and that was it.”
Where are these stairs? Where is she going? All is currently unclear – but viewers will certainly find out in April.
Unfortunately Lena explained she couldn’t reveal anything else about the final episodes, saying: “They’d kill me!”
Luckily she did divulge some information about wrapping up the show on Jimmy Kimmel Live last week.
She told the host: “I thought, well, it’s been nine years, it’s been amazing.”
But she went on to say the entire situation became a little tearful.
She continued: “I suddenly got really emotional, and I tried to head down the stairs.
“They all rushed up and trapped me, and they gave the speech. It was really moving.
“They said some shi**y things – but it was all in good humour!”
Lena’s comments follow a recent Reddit theory which hints at Arya Stark’s (Maisie Williams) downfall.
The theory suggests The Faceless Men will eventually track Arya down after she left their sacred order.
User OhItsStefan suggested: “Personally, I don’t think they’ll let her go.
“My thought is that in season eight we might see the consequences of her actions. Why she finally became ‘no one’ is probably because she passed the test they gave her.”
Game of Thrones season 8 will return to HBO and Sky Atlantic on April 14. Seasons 1-7 are currently streaming on NOW TV.
