Game of Thrones viewers might be in for a traumatic opening when it finally returns.
The HBO show is notorious for killing off everyone’s favourite characters and will no doubt shock some in season eight.
However, one who may not make it through to the end is Sansa Stark (played by Sophie Turner).
The regal character has been through an awful lot in the series but it could be about to come crashing down.
According to one fan on Reddit, there is enough evidence to suggest she cannot survive the remaining episodes.
OpalNecromancer13 suggested she absolutely will die.
They continued: “In the first Episode of the Series when the find the Direwolves there is one for each of the Stark children.
“It also has been theorised that the dead Direwolf and Stag represented how Ned and Robert die.
“So I think that the lives of the wolves are connected to their Stark counterparts.”
A quick look back at the series reveals the remaining Direwolves all have their Stark counterparts.
But the ones who perished have also lost their owners.
The only exception to this is Sansa, who has sadly lost her Direwolf, Lady.
Does this suggest Game of Thrones will say goodbye to Sansa in the coming scenes?
As well as this, it seems Arya Stark’s (Maisie Williams) fate could have been revealed.
She has already been on an epic journey throughout the Game of Thrones series.
Now she is back with her siblings in Winterfell, will she stay there for long?
Reddit user Aeiexgjhyoun_III wondered: “So while laying sick in bed at that actress’ house Arya claimed she wanted to go beyond the shadowlands and explore uncharted waters.
“Secondly Arya named her wolf Nymeria, who was a princess that sailed across the seas searching for a new home for her people.
“Arya is not interested in being a lady and while some are theorising that she’ll settle down with Gendry I find that unlikely.
“Arya is going to leave Westeros and explore the regions beyond the map.”
Game of Thrones season 8 will return to HBO and Sky Atlantic in 2019. Seasons 1-7 are currently streaming on NOW TV.
