Game of Thrones season eight will be the show’s last series, and fans can’t wait to see how it all will end.
A new Game of Thrones teaser recently revealed the final series will air on April 14, but it’s also full of clues as to what will happen in the final run.
Fans have been busy coming up with their own theories, and many have spotted a significant clue relating to Sansa Stark’s (played by Sophie Turner) hair.
In the trailer, Sansa has her hair pinned back with a mass of braids at the top of her head, which is very similar to the way Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) styles her locks.
Since regaining control of Winterfell, Sansa has been wearing her hair pulled back from her face with a single swirl at the top of her head.
However, it is now very similar to the Mother of Dragon’s style, which isn’t too surprising as Sansa has made a habit of learning things from all the people that surround her.
Cersei Lannister (Lena Heady) taught Sansa how to be ruthless, Eddard Stark (Sean Bean) taught her kindness, and Petyr Baelish (Aidan Gillen) showed her how to excel at politics.
This is what makes Sansa so unique and so formidable, whereas Jon Snow (Kit Harington) is a bit more naive than his sister.
Arya Stark (Maisie Williams) is very ruthless, however, she’s potentially slightly too erratic and maybe even a little bit selfish.
Sansa has a sense of duty which her sister doesn’t really share, and Daenerys might see a lot her herself in the fiery redhead.
The two of them together would definitely prove to be a formidable duo, and one which Cersei might not want to go up against.
Meanwhile, the trailer also seems to be hinting at Jon finding out about his true heritage.
The thrilling new trailer shows Jon walking through the Winterfell crypts with a torch in hand.
His mother Lyanna Stark (Aisling Franciosi) can be overheard giving Ned the order to look after Jon when he was born before Ned tells him he’s a Stark.
“You might not have my name, but you have Stark blood,” his beloved father-figure told him in season one.
Jon can also be seen meeting up with Sansa Stark and Arya Stark (Maisie Williams) in the crypts.
Meanwhile, it has been suggested George RR Martin may have revealed Sansa’s death in a letter he sent to his publishers.
The letter in question was detailing his plan for the book series, and it mentioned the key players in the overarching story.
Sansa’s name was mysteriously absent from this letter, which has lead some fans to believe she might have been an afterthought on Martin’s behalf, meaning she could be expendable in the final series.
Game of Thrones season 8 will return to HBO and Sky Atlantic on April 14. Seasons 1-7 are currently streaming on NOW TV.
