Tyrion (played by Peter Dinklage) is one of the fundamental characters in Game Of Thrones, so surely he will be a major part of the final six episodes.
However, the younger brother of Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey) could potentially die before the final moments of the HBO series.
A number of fan theories have laid out several ways in which Tyrion’s story could come to an end, with some suggesting he could defy the odds and survive until the end.
The actor himself has also hinted his character could meet an untimely demise, stating “death can be a great way out”.
Speaking about Tyrion’s role in season eight back in October, Peter revealed to Vulture: “I think he was given a very good conclusion.”
Theorising a way Tyrion could die, Reddit user harleyjadea** wrote: “Kin-killers do not fare well in Westeros.
“Euron killed Balon and will surely die in Season 8. And Tyrion killed Tywin. Despite the villainous nature of Tywin, I still think the rule applies.”
Could Tyrion’s past come back to haunt him as the series comes to a conclusion? Will he fall in battle against the Army of the Dead?
However, if this theory plays true, his elder siblings Ceresi and Jaime Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) could meet the same fate.
There is a potential flaw in the theory however, as Reddit user Mosse2_the_O states: “Tyrion says he’s always had an interest in Dragons. And Tywin claims ‘you’re no son of mine’ as his last words.”
This would mean Tyrion isn’t actually the son of Tywin Lannister (Charles Dance), therefore, he committed no murder against is only family and is in fact a Targaryen.
If Tyrion does survive, he could be one of the numerous characters to take the Iron Thore, as Reddit user bigdaddyBach explains: “Kin slaying never works out, [nor] does incest.
“That is why Tyrion, Jon, and Daenerys will be the three headed dragon (all Targaryen) and then Jon and Dany will end up being killed or killing each other leaving Tyrion on the throne.”
Then again, Tyrion has not yet experienced the same fate as his elder sibling, who have each had to lose a part of themselves throughout the seasons.
Reddit user Papa_Gator23 states: “I believe he will lose his tongue since many people want to cut it.”
They continue: “In the three siblings, Jaime lost his hand, Cersei lost her pride and dignity… [Tyrion is] good at talking.”
Viewers will have to see if any of these theories will play true, however, it seems Daenerys Targaryen’s life could also change in the upcoming episodes.
According to one fan, the dragon creatures Daenerys claims to be mother of could not be the reptile creatures she believes them to be at all.
Reddit user 4h0y1m4p1r4t3 explains dragons are creatures which have four legs and a set of wings, however, the reptiles Daenerys holds power over have two legs and wings, meaning they are “wyverns”.
Does this change the course of Daenerys’ path in the concluding episodes?
