Game of Thrones fans, you need to pipe down.

This week HBO finally unleashed the first footage from Game of Thrones season eight upon the world, and in a matter of minutes the three seconds clip was deciphered to every single inch of its short little life and blown up into a thousand different theories and then some.

The aforementioned video showed the very first time Sansa Stark was introduced to what we’re predicting will be her future sister-in-law, Daenerys Targaryen. Obviously that’s a cause for celebration.

Sansa greeted the Mother of Dragons like every Stark knows how, and assured Dany: ‘Winterfell is yours, your Grace.’

Wait one second – she’s handing over Winterfell to Daenerys from the cuff?

‘So the Starks spent years fighting to get Winterfell back, then Jon just handed it over to Dany (mother of dragons) in one scene. Wow. I can see why Sansa is not happy here. This is a mess, no matter how much we like Dany,’ moaned one fan on Twitter. And they weren’t alone…

Hold on to your dragons, guys. Of course Sansa’s not willingly serving Winterfell up on a plate. The only thing she’s serving up is Stark pleasantry realness.

Trace your minds back to season one when Ned Stark (Sean Bean) welcomed The Mad King Robert Baraetheon (Mark Addy) and Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey) to the Winterfell gates and he said exactly the same thing.

Think of it as more of a ‘mi casa su casa’ vibe and chill.

Although, the wild theorists out there have concluded the five little words will spell the death of Sansa because it didn’t take long before her father was bent on all fours with an axe crashing down on his neck.

The Game of Thrones cast have been unusually forthcoming about the final chapter of the fantasy epic, with Kit Harington admitting they were all ‘sick of’ season eight by the time they’d wrapped up filming, which is fair.

Game of Thrones returns to HBO and Sky Atlantic in April 2018.
