Game of Thrones Season 8 is still several months away but it is time to start making predictions, theories and speculative videos on the final season.

After the season 7 finale Sansa and House Stark are on a huge high. However, The Army of the Dead is on its way down south and no doubt will attack Winterfell very soon.

In this video I talk about the fate of Sansa Stark, House Stark, how Sansa might play a part in Cersei Lannister’s death and who Sansa will marry after the War For the Dawn.

Thanks for watching!

  1. Let me know all your Sansa Stark theories and predictions in the comments below! Sansa's fate during season 8 is very interesting to me. It is too easy to say she will survive and marry someone but what will she do during The War for the Dawn?

Hopefully we start hearing more about the filming for season 8 soon as filming is meant to start this month! I will keep you guys updated and hopefully we hear something very soon!

Thanks for watching and I will see everyone in the comments!

  2. If Sansa really does retreat to King's Landing, she can't go alone. Typically I would think Brienne would be the one to go with her but maybe Sandor will be one to escort her instead. He was always protective of her and he is what Ned wanted for Sansa, someone who is brave, gentle, and strong. Okay he isn't a lord but still, she has basically no emotional connection to any other male character. Maybe since she's been used for political marriages so much she may just decide to go with someone who isn't a noble at all and who she just genuinely cares for. Besides, he would have to go with her to see Cersei. Who better to protect her from the Mountain????

  3. I can't get a line from the books out of my head, when Yigret says to Jon "you wouldn't marry your sister would you?" This could have just foreshadowed Jon's Targaryen heritage, but may mean he will marry someone he thinks of as a sister. Sansa is also often talked of as being a mother to princes, although not kings, so if Dany dies after having a child and Jon wants to remarry to be sure of an heir in case Dany's child dies he could marry Sansa as he could trust her not to try to steal his child's rights. He is also one of the few men that Sansa could trust as a husband. Mind you Game of Thrones has enough incest already.

  4. i think she somehow will manage to say ''enough'' with marriages and mens..She maybe to raise Dannys/Jon son/daughter[who will keep both the Stark /Targaryen names] and to be queen regent of the king/queen ..Gendry/Arya will rule the North also keeping the Stark name ….In the end there will be new dynasties and houses who will rule Westeros..i think.

  5. Sansa's story arc to date has put her on a path to rule a kingdom and marry for love. GRRM promised a bittersweet ending; Sansa's sweet destiny serves to balance GRRM's bitter finish (the death of most of our beloved characters).

From birth, Sansa wished for the fabricated fairy tale all noble ladies dreamed. Ned spoke these words to Arya (which more aptly apply to Sansa) in season one, "You will marry a high lord and rule his castle. And your sons shall be knights and princes and lords." This defines the role noble ladies serve in Westeros. Noble girls cement alliances and breed the ruling class. Sansa wished for this life, the life of a queen, until the her time with Joffrey exposed the ugly life of noble politics. Sansa has rejected the life of a pawn; Kings Landing, Joffrey, Cersei, Petry, Ramsey opened her eyes to the unhappy and impotent life of a brood mare. Sansa will plot the course of her own choosing.

Sansa studied politics with adept masters and false rulers: Petry, Cersei, Tyrion, Joffrey, Ramsey, and Ned. A tortured life has prepared Sansa to lead nobly. She is ready for "the great game now". Sansa's course will be to rule; and to do so for the betterment of her people.

Sansa was never free to marry for love. She was merely a political pawn. Her prearranged and forced unions led to nothing but unhappiness: Joffrey, Tyrion, Ramsey, Petry. Sansa will break from tradition and not marry for political advantage, but rather for happiness. To a good man: brave, gentle and strong. Not many of those men in Westeros.

If there is bittersweet justice in GRRM's world, Sansa will marry Gendry and continue the Stark and Baratheon alliance. Sansa won't marry Gendry to honor the bond between two dead men, but because she loves the admirable and newly legitimized Gendry.

Gendry, the blacksmith who trained under Tobho Mott, re-forges "Oathkeeper (Ned)" and "Widow's Wail (Catelyn)" back into the Stark family's Valyrian steel sword "Ice". The Stark family is now whole again.

Sansa will rule as the Wardeness of the North or the Lady of Storm's End.

Robert's Rebellion – the precursor to the Game of Thrones – was set in motion when a Baratheon failed to marry a Stark. The story will come full circle, just as Robert foretold in season one. Robert said to Ned "I have a son. You have a daughter. We'll join our houses." Gendry and Sansa will live happily ever after.

    Write it into existence GRRM.

  6. Great analysis of a character who could go in several directions. In his original outline, GRRM said Jon, Dany, Arya, Bran, and Tyrion would survive. I think they will (except maybe Dany) and that Sansa will too. Currently, if Jon's Warden, he's probably also Lord of Winterfell as a Warden needs a seat. But as you say, he'll be militarily occupied and will leave mundane administration to Sansa. If Winterfell falls, their best refuge is probably the Vale. If they want the Vale army, Sansa will marry Robin, who is probably more mature and handsome now (Lino is). I doubt she''ll meet Cersei, which is sad but safe since the Queen is mad but canny and ruthless, whereas Sansa is admittedly not very smart (LF ran rings around her in S7. See the Variety interview with Isaac Hempstead-Wright about their deleted scene.)

lf Jon becomes king of Westeros, Sansa keeps Winterfell IF she stays single or marries a commoner. If she marries a major lord she'll go with him and Arya becomes the Stark in Winterfell and Warden, which is good as she's a warrior. If Jon and Dany die AND there's no heir—which I doubt—and either sister marries the new king (Gendry is the likeliest contender), she would be his queen consort and no doubt be very active in helping him. If Jon and Sansa rule South and North, Arya might marry Gendry, but her kids would not be Starks.. Lots of possibilities if they don't all die, but we'll have to wait TWO bloody years for resolution!

  7. I don't expect Sansa to leave the north. While there will be a massive battle I think The Others will retreat north of the wall.
As for Cersei, I think Cersei will come to her end through Arya (as herself or faceless one).
Sansa will stay at Winterfell where she will have a powerful position.
Sansa married? I don't see any prospective suitors. Arya will get Gendry.
    Those are my thoughts.

  8. I stink we will see very few of our principal characters survive.IF Sansa survives, she will do so in the North. I can't see Sansa killing Cersei knowing that Cersei is pregnant, and THAT may be her downfall; she may hesitate to kill Cersei because of the child, (Cersei will be large by then), but Cersei will have no gratitude, see it as a weakness and have Sansa killed,(possibly).
I can't see Sansa marrying Robin, certainly not The Hound? (Was that supposed to be funny?) I was really surprised that it did not come out that Robin was Baelish's son, although perhaps in the book "Robert's" true paternity will be revealed there. I doubt we'll see any more of him in the series. I would be shocked beyond shocked if she remarried Tyrion. I can't see that.
I don;t think Gendry has a future, unless he is the 'last man standing' and takes the throne; it isn't impossible withthe way bodies will be falling.
Fentony, a question that occurred to me when you mentioned "Oathkeeper":Do you think Sansa and the other Starks know, (or will find out), that it was forged form the Stark ancestral sword?

  9. Sansa does have a convoluted story, right?? IF She continues to play the Game.. she will marry Robbyn and control the Vale, but there are the Wild Cards both Tyrion and Jamie.. marriage to either would join the houses for peace in the realm, after the battle …Jon or Dany may insist on the houses being joined.. another wild card..Gendry…but I see Arya going in that direction… remember Ned said Arya was just like her Aunt Lyanna… and we know Lyanna put aside her warrior ways for love..Sansa.. will only marry for power and control..because that's the only time she feels safe..GREAT VIDEO!!
