With Game of Thrones wrapped up and ready roll, it’s unbearably painful knowing the rest of our tale is out there. It is in people’s minds and we are not one of those people.
However, until Game of Thrones season 8 hits screens, which is currently slated for April 2019, all we have to go on is little quips from the cast and crew with the latest coming from The Mountain juggernaut, Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson.
The 29-year-old took part in a telling Instagram Q&A this week where he was naturally fired with speculation surrounding the final chapter of the fantasy epic.
While he kept the big secrets close to his absurdly enormous chest, he did promise spectacular scenes in store for The Mountain.
When asked what his favourite scene Game of Thrones to be in was through the years, the Icelandic giant wrote: ‘It happens in season 8… so I can’t speak about it.’
And it didn’t take long for fans to jump to the conclusion that the confrontation between The Mountain and his brother The Hound is well and truly ON.
Well, it better be after that tense showdown at the end of season seven when Sandor hissed: ‘Remember me? Yeah, you do. You’re even fucking uglier than I am now. What did they do to you? Doesn’t matter.
‘It’s not how it ends for you brother. You know who’s coming for you. You’ve always known.’
Just another nine agonising months to go guys. Ugh.
Elsewhere Sophie Turner has been opening up about leaving her beloved Sansa Stark behind, comparing the goodbye to ‘the death of a loved one’.
Kit Harington was just as sombre about wrapping up on Game of Thrones, admitting that the end of such a pivotal moment in his life still makes him ‘emotional’.
