The cast have descended on to Belfast as they were finally handed their scripts for season eight.
In turn, Game of Thrones fans have drenched Twitter with excitable posts featuring pictures of Kit Harington, Emilia Clarke and Maisie Williams in the Northern Irish capital.
However, the appearance of one star subsequently resolves one huge cliffhanger as Tormund actor Kristofer Hivju touched down in Belfast airport.
While the 38-year-old Norwegian actor could be merely enjoying a city break, his timing would suggest otherwise.
Kristofer recently cast doubt on his future in the HBO epic after Tormund was among several fan favourites to be caught up in the destruction of The Night King’s Wight dragon.

“I don’t know. I honestly don’t know,” he told Digital Spy. “Somehow, I don’t believe it. Somehow, it looks like it’s a fall you can’t survive. But people have asked me if characters like Beric and Tormund die, why wouldn’t they show that?
“And then, in another way, it’s a horrible way to end a season, by killing two people and showing that death. So they kept it in the air. But still, I don’t know! He may be dead.”
Ser Davos actor Liam Cunningham recently revealed even the cast weren’t allowed to read their own scripts until the first read-through.
“I got them all,” he told IGN. “I can’t open them because of all the security, and I can’t walk it out.”
Game of Thrones season 8 is expected to return to HBO and Sky Atlantic in 2019.
