Huge spoilers for Game of Thrones season 8, episode 5 ahead.
Game of Thrones season eight episode five is possibly the most criticised 90 minutes of television of all time as fans are still fuming from how things went down, but it looks like The Simpsons called it back in 2017.
It is known that The Simpsons’ writers have been pretty apt with predictions over the years but this takes the biscuit.
Following Daenerys Targaryen’s (Emilia Clarke) descent into murderous, fiery madness, some fans pointed out a clip from The Simpsons which aired in 2017.
The Game of Thrones parody episode is titled The Serfsons and no one seems to have paid much attention to it till now because who even watches new episodes of The Simpsons?
At the end of the instalment, Homer, Marge and co are overlooking their village being destroyed by a dragon on a fire breathing rampage, in an image which looks eerily like scenes from The Bells.
The simpsons wtf !!!!💀🔥

The parody was set in a Game of Thrones/medieval version of Springfield and also poked fun at the Night King and Jaime (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) and Cersei (Lena Headey).
The clip is doing the rounds on Twitter as viewers continue to blast Thrones showrunners Dan Weiss and David Benioff for being bad writers.
One fan tweeted: ‘Writers at the Simpsons got a crystal ball or something?!?!’
While another added: ‘Freaky AF how The Simpsons knew about the #MadQueen before everyone else. #GameOfThrones.’
We’re not sure where the season eight finale can go from here and the new trailer doesn’t give much away, maybe some old episodes of The Simpsons have the answer.
Game of Thrones season 8, episode 6 airs on Sunday and Monday on HBO, Sky Atlantic and NOW TV.
