Game Of Thrones’ team has been mighty careful to make sure the fate of Westeros is kept under wraps – but there are a few things that have slipped through the cracks.
While Jon Snow might know nothing – we certainly know a thing or two about him, including what lies ahead of him in the final season as it airs next year.
Here’s everything that’s been confirmed about Jon so far, and what it could mean for the battle of the Iron Throne.
***Warning: Contains Spoilers***
Jon is about to clash BIG TIME with his sister, Sansa
According to a behind-the-scenes report from Entertainment Weekly, Sansa is not going to be too happy that her brother bent the knee for Daenerys Targaryen.
After years of being abused, Sansa has become a strong warrior in her own right, and something tells us she’s not going to give up her new position within Winterfell without a fight.
(Just wait until she finds out Jon and Dany are related…)
His direwolf, Ghost, will be returning
One of two remaining direwolves, Ghost has been flitting in and out of Jon’s life on his own adventures.
But as the show comes to an end, it’s been confirmed that the loyal dog will in fact make a comeback to be by his master’s side.
‘Oh, you’ll see (Ghost) again,’ Game of Thrones’ visual effects supervisor Joe Bauer told The Huffington Post. ‘He has a fair amount of screen time in Season 8.’
He added: ‘(Ghost is) very present and does some pretty cool things in Season 8.’
Things are going to get weird between him and Daenerys
The end of last series saw Jon and Daenerys seal the deal in the bedroom as their allegiance gets stronger – just as we were discovering that they’re actually aunt and nephew.
Which is going to be a bit bloody awkward when they find out the truth.
But on top of the incest, it also means that a rivalry could soon emerge, as now both have a bloodline for the iron throne.
Will Daenerys allow for that?
It’s going to be an emotional one
Kit Harrington, who plays the beloved character, has revealed that he cried when he saw the final script, and his time on the show as Jon Snow was officially over.
He told EW: ‘Every season, you read at the end of the last script “End of Season 1,” or “End of Season 2,”‘ He added.
‘This read “End of Game Of Thrones,” and you realise, okay, it’s really happening.’
Game of Thrones returns next years on HBO and Sky Atlantic.
