  1. look i'm a total d-bag for it, but you gotta cut out the raspy, scratchy throat voice thing. i can't listen to that. i need an actual voice. it sounds like you're trying not to wake someone up.

  2. So glad I found this!  The swans on the Godseye are an important symbol too, they represent lyres/harps and are a symbol of bards.  They are also representation of god Cygnus, and kings represent god in human form.  Interesting that they are black swans, Rhaegar was rather melancholy.  I think the prophecy TPTWP weighed heavily on him.  I was just on a livestream of She Wolves of Winter channel last night where TheIronUnderneath/Ashley brought up Dagda.  We did not however get into the harp.  I had same thought as 'sbard' down below, can/will the harp be used like dragonbinder or horn of winter, either on dragon or dany or on Kings of Winter in crypts or possibly WW.  GRRM has referenced ancient archetypes, symbols, and mythology that have existed in one form or another throughout history and various cultures;  thank you for pointing out that he is not making exact and direct comparisons but rather takes a bit from here and there and mixes it up and adds his own twist, such as your reference to Dany being a mix of Henry VII AND Cleopatra, etc.

  3. the harp is buried with Lyanna. who entombed Lyanna? maybe it will take the place of the dragon horn that can bend dragons to ur will? would love to see it!

  4. You actually brought out a new access point to theorize about this very talked about subject. Rhaegar is very controversial and there's a tendency to attribute all manner of unchecked and strange theories to him. It's nice to have some good old fashioned detective work applied to the case! It's pointless to have so many fantasies about Rhaegar based on coercing the source material to someone's end, but it seems the most fashionable thing to do right now.
    Thanks for sharing man!

  5. In the Old Testament David used to have a harp that he would sit in the window. It has the same number of strings as the Hebrew language. So the wind would play a note for each letter. It was Davids way to hear from God.
