**Warning: Spoilers for Game of Thrones season 8 below**
King’s Landing may have been burned to a crisp but the Game of Thrones set is still standing in its home in the North of Ireland.
The HBO series wrapped filming last year and the show aired its final episode earlier this summer – but the crew still haven’t gotten around to dismantling
Fan photos have been posted to Twitter which show the Winterfell set in Moneyglass.
Meanwhile, at Titanic Studios in Belfast, the ‘charred remains’ of Kings Landing still stand.
Fans have been speculating – as GoT fans are wont to do – that the sets have remained in place because there are some plans in store for them.
Other exterior sets still standing in at Linen Mill Studios in Corbet-Banbridge, according to Winter Is Coming.

King’s Landing still stands 🤯
We thought #GameOfThrones team would have taken the set of the charred remains of the capital city away by now, but it’s still here in #Belfast. Looks like it’s been tidied up well & possibly being kept for future public access…? @GoTlikeLocation pic.twitter.com/k10bFybq4k— The Forster-Smiths (@ForsterSmiths1) August 13, 2019
The #winterfell set looks to be secured with a new fence but all the other security barriers have been removed from around the perimeter of the farm allowing excellent views #GOT @WatchersOTWall @WiCnet @GofTNews @GameOfThronesF_ #WinterIsComing #GameofThrones8 @Talking_Thrones pic.twitter.com/JAP2AI2Gbr

The main set is at Titanic Studios where the Game of Thrones exhibition is.
The impressive display features may iconic props and costumes from across all eight seasons.
So could there be plans to expand the exhibition to include the sets that remain?
Imagine getting to walk through the streets of King’s Landing or shoot an arrow in the Winterfell courtyard.
Another suggestion is that the sets may be being repurposed for production on the prequel series, Bloodmoon (or The Long Night).
Game of Thrones season 8 is streaming on NOW TV.
