Game Of Thrones made an epic blunder in last night’s episode by accidentally leaving in a shot of a Starbucks coffee cup.

Yes, fans were all left giggling after noticing the cup sat perfectly on a table in front of Daenerys (played by Emilia Clarke).

As she watched Jon Snow (Kit Harington) have a bit of a moment, there is clearly something shiny, white and plastic on the otherwise pretty grim and grubby table.

After slaying the Night King in last week’s offering, the warriors got together for a final gathering before they set off for King’s Landing.

However, despite what was going on in the scenes, viewers couldn’t take their eyes off the obvious coffee cup.

One of the questions whirling around the internet was how the heck did showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss miss the faux pas when editing.

They still didn’t notice the cup (Picture: HBO)

But now there’s a whole new tale to the story, as one eagle eyed fan spotted the duo were in the scene.

That is correct!

Both Benioff and Weiss were posing as extras and still didn’t notice that the coffee cup was on the table.

We can’t blame them though, they were probably too excited to be in the middle of all the action – as anyone would be.

Pointing out the pair on Twitter, one fan wrote: ‘OH MY GOD, the showrunners were literally in the same scene as the Starbucks cup.’

Others were quick to respond, and joked: ‘It’s funny, too, because they discussed this scene at length at the end of the episode.’

While another added: ‘Which is exactly why no one noticed the damned cup. They were all watching THEMSELVES.’

‘They had 2 years to make these shows lol,’ one fan laughed.

The Easter egg discovery comes after we raised a few questions following last night’s episode that saw some interesting developments, but we’ll not get into that here.

Game Of Thrones continues on Sundays on HBO and Sky Atlantic. Catch-up on all the episodes so far on NOW TV.
