Game of Thrones star Sophie Turner has levelled a rather brilliant clapback at those who refuse to wear a mask.
You see, the Sansa Stark actress will always win in the mask debate, seeing as she managed to don one while giving birth.
The 24-year-old actress – who welcomed her first child Willa with husband Joe Jonas over the summer – has insisted if she wore a face mask while pushing an actual human into the world, everyone else can manage to do the same while heading to the shops.
Not such a hard feat when you think about it in that way, right?
Sipping on a flask of tea on Instagram, she said in a video uploaded on Wednesday: ‘If I can wear a mask while I give birth, you can wear a mask at Walmart.’
Adding her trademark phrase, she went on: ‘And that’s the tea.’
That most definitely is.
Fans were lapping up her brilliantly-put message, as one chimed in on Twitter: ‘Thank you #sophieturner!!! I agree and if you guys want this damn pandemic to end, then do as Sophie says and wear a mask! it’s not that hard!’
Another enthusiastic punter wrote: ‘Sophie Turner for the win!!! You heard it world. WEAR THE GOD DAMN MASK. And that’s the tea.’
One was very here for Sophie’s message: ‘I’ve kept thinking about Sophie Turner’s Instagram story today: “If I can wear a mask while giving birth, you can wear a mask at Walmart.”
‘Succinct. Touches on what has been a scarier / more difficult time than usual for many women. Is just TRUE … ’cause yeah, you can.’
While Sophie is over here, schooling the anti-maskers, her husband Joe recently said its been rather lovely spending quality time with his wife and their daughter during the coronavirus pandemic.
The Jonas Brothers star, who’s often on the go with the pop group, had long ‘craved alone time’ with Sophie since they tied the knot last year, and the global health crisis has afforded the family of three more time together, with touring off the cards for the time being.
The Sucker hitmaker explained: ‘Running right onto tour after getting married I didn’t really have that alone time I craved with my wife, so I was able to just be in one place which was kind of nice for a change.’
He added in a recent interview with his brothers Nick and Kevin: ‘Quarantine’s been quiet. [Being] able to see my brothers for the first time … was really nice. It’s been about seven months since I’ve seen Kevin. I’ve seen Nick here and there.’
Seems everything is coming up roses for the Jonases – and to everyone else, keep wearing those masks.
And that’s the tea.
