Game of Thrones star Sophie Turner has added a wonderfully epic piece of furniture to her home, as she’s welcomed a coveted and sentimental prop from the HBO series to her house.
The actress, who played Sansa Stark for all eight seasons of the fantasy drama, revealed on Instagram over the weekend that she is now the proud owner of the dire wolf-carved wooden throne that Sansa took a seat on when she was crowned Queen in the North after her return to Winterfell in the season finale ‘The Iron Throne’.
She shared a photo to her Instagram Stories of the throne sitting proudly in its new home, writing “Welcome Home” across it.
Sophie’s husband, musician Joe Jonas, also shared the photo on his own Instagram Stories – after all, who wouldn’t be excited to have such a famous throne in their house?
Welcoming that incredible prop isn’t the only excitement the famous couple have enjoyed recently, as Sophie gave birth to their first child in July.
A spokesperson for the couple told Digital Spy that they were “delighted to announce” the birth of their baby daughter, who is believed to be named Willa.
The couple themselves have not spoken about the arrival of their child, beyond Sophie referring to Joe as her “baby daddy” in an Instagram caption on his birthday.

Sophie and Joe are believed to have been together since October 2016 and they married in a surprise ceremony in Las Vegas in May 2019, before having an ‘official’ wedding a month later.
Sophie confessed earlier this year that she ‘misses everything’ about being on Game of Thrones, saying, “I would go back to it in a heartbeat”.
Game of Thrones seasons 1-8 are now available on DVD and Blu-ray.
