Filming on the final season of Game Of Thrones is still rolling along and star Kit Harington is cracking on with shooting scenes in Croatia this week.
But even the King in the North needs to take five as the actor was spotted having a cigarette break in between filming in Dubrovnik, where King’s Landing scenes are shot.
WinterIsComing.net say production has been putting up sets and props in Pile Bay – aka the Red Keep – in the city.
The Dubrovnik Times reported back in January that ‘many of the main stars’ would return to film scenes, adding: ‘There is even a rumour that Jon Snow will film in Dubrovnik.’
What takes Jon Snow to King’s Landing remains to be seen.
The new pictures come after reports that an epic battle scene is on the way in season 8 after footage of the Winterfell set in Northern Ireland was seen up in flames.
Meanwhile his co-star Emilia Clarke, who plays Daenerys Targaryen, could be on her way back to Westeros after taking some time out in Rome to shoot a campaign for Dolce & Gabbana.
While she didn’t specify she was going back to set, in her recent Instagram post she said ‘it pains me to say arrivederci’.
Star Peter Dinklage, who plays Tyrion Lannister, recently said the finale will be ‘heartbreaking’.
Speaking of his reaction to reading the last scripts for the show, he said: ‘It was heartbreaking and the end of an era’.
Meanwhile Maisie Williams, who has been on the show since she was 12, has said she’s anxious about Game Of Thrones ending.
‘It’s exciting knowing I’m going to get to do more things. But it’s nerve-wracking because its been my safety net’, she said on Lorraine earlier this month.
