Lena Headey has described her ‘huge sense of loss’ at Game Of Thrones coming to an end.
Lena has said goodbye to her Game Of Thrones character Cersei Lannister in the final season, which is due to air next year.
The stars of the HBO hit have described their sadness after reading the last scripts for the show.
Kit Harington previously revealed that he broke down in tears twice over the finale during the read through.
Lena also confessed that she got tearful making the last season, as it hit home that Game Of Thrones is over.
She told Entertainment Weekly: ‘There was a great sense of grief. It’s a huge sense of loss, like we’ll never have anything like this again.’
Meanwhile, Emilia Clarke said that everything felt ‘more intense’ while filming season eight.
The Daenerys Targaryen star told Entertainment Weekly: ‘Every choice, every conversation, every attitude has this air of, “This is it”.’
‘Everything feels more intense. I had a scene with someone and I turned to him and said, “Oh my God, I’m not going to do this ever again”, and that brings tears to my eyes.’
Speaking about his tears over the last pages of the script, Kit said: ‘Every season, you read at the end of the last script “End of Season 1,” or “End of Season 2”. This read, “End Of Game Of Thrones”.’
Kit has previously spoken about his love for the show, but revealed that he has no intention of returning if he ever had the chance.
Speaking at Esquire Townhouse, he said that he has no desire to ever reprise the role – and we can’t help but feel a little bit dropped on.
‘I have no desire to go back and do any more of that show… I have such a fond place in my heart for that show,’ Kit told the publication.
‘For a good month afterwards I just burst into tears randomly. I can’t think of a better job to have in your 20s than to play Jon Snow.’
