Game of Thrones actor Joseph Gatt arrived at court in Los Angeles for second time in two months after being charged with having sexually explicit chats online with a minor.

The 51-year-old, who played the character of Thenn Warg in the HBO drama, was accompanied by his girlfriend – actress and writer Mercy Malick for the appearance on Monday (December 4). He previously appeared in court on Monday (October 2).

He was ordered to be back in court for a preliminary hearing that was scheduled for December 18 by LA Superior Court Judge Kim Nguyen.

On this date, it is expected that prosecutors will present internet evidence that was allegedly discovered at Gatt’s home in LA, according to Daily Mail.

As he walked into court, hand-in-hand with Malick, 51, he told the publication: ‘I would love to talk about this but I have been advised by my attorney not to comment at this time.’

Gatt has remained free on bail in the 19 months since the arrest after paying the $5,000 bond, according to TMZ.

Gatt has vehemently denied allegations and posted on X, formerly Twitter: ‘I obviously want to address the absolutely horrifying and completely untrue allegations recently leveled against me.

‘They are 100% categorically wrong and reckless.

‘I am fully cooperating with police and LAPD to get to the bottom of this.’

‘I look forward to clearing my good name. Thank you to all my friends and supporters who know that this is untrue and understand for legal reasons I cannot comment further on social media,’ he concluded.

Malick has called the allegations ‘beyond insane.’

Gatt was arrested over the charge last April after the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) received information that he had ‘been engaged in online sexually explicit communication with a minor across state lines.’

He was arrested after the LAPD searched his Beverley Hills home. The force said in a statement at the time it was ‘seeking to identify any additional victims.’

He pleaded not guilty to two charges – ‘contact with a minor for sexual offence,’ and a second charge of felony possession of an assault weapon.

He was ordered to not use social media with work as the only exception, to not have unsupervised time with minors, and to not have pornography.

Gatt was in three episodes of Game of Thrones in 2014 while in Thor, he portrayed Frost Giant Grundroth.

He starred as a science officer in the 2013 film Star Trek Into Darkness, and depicted Neils Skellig in the 2019 live-action adaptation of Dumbo.

Most recently, he played an intergang squad leader in The Rock film Black Adam.
