The second line-up of celebrities heading to this year’s Middle East Film and Comic Con has just been announced. Carice Van Houten from Game of Thrones and Joseph David-Jones from Arrow and are set to appear. They’ll also be joined by artists Emanuela Lupacchino and Philo Barnhart as well as Saudi cosplayer iCosplay.
Van Houten is most known for her role as Melisandre on the hit show Game of Thrones. She earned an Emmy nomination for her role as the Red Priestess. The Dutch actress has also appeared in several feature films in Holly including Valkyrie alongside Tom Cruise.
Jones has appeared in the superhero series Arrow as well as TV drama Nashville.
The three-day event runs from Thursday to Saturday, March 5 to 7 at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
Already announced for this year’s event are Aladdin star Mena Massoud, American actor Brandon Routh, who starred in Superman Returns, French-born actress Elodie Yung, who was in the Netflix series Daredevil and actor John Rhys-Davies, who’s known for his portrayal of Gimli in Lord of the Rings.
Fans will also be able to attend interactive workshops where they can explore original artworks, prints and sculptures. And a line-up of some of the world’s biggest comic book artists, who have worked on biggest projects for DC, Marvel and Disney, have also been confirmed to attend the event.
Fans are encouraged to purchase tickets for the star-studded event as soon as possible. The exclusive Gold VIP tickets sold out in the first week, but fans can still purchase other tickets, including Silver VIP and day tickets. There are discounted offers on family tickets and children under five are guaranteed free entry.
