Game Of Thrones star Emilia Clarke ‘rakes in almost £7.5million over two years through her arts company Scenic Root’

Emilia Clarke has raked in almost £7.5million over the last two years, according to reports. 

The Game of Thrones star, 35, earned £3.9million last year, an increase from £3.5million in 2020. 

According to The Sun, the actress, who bagged her breakthrough role as Daenerys Targaryen in the epic fantasy series, is thought to have cashed in via her performing arts company Scenic Root, which was founded in 2014.

She is the only director listed, but happens to share a secretary with several actors such as Damson Idris. 

MailOnline has reached out to Emilia’s representatives for comment.  

Emilia has not been on the big screen since 2019, when she starred alongside Emma Thompson and Henry Golding in romance film Last Christmas.

Her career-defining role in Game of Thrones led to four Primetime Emmy Awards nominations, including Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series in 2019. 

The star has been the recipient of several Critics’ Choice Awards nominations, the most recent in 2018.

She also received the BAFTA Britannia Award for British Artist of the Year at the 2018 ceremony.

As well as starring on Broadway (Breakfast at Tiffany’s) and on the West End in several shows of The Seagull before the pandemic hit, Emilia’s credits also include Me Before You, Above Suspicion and Terminator Genisys.

In 2019, amid revealing the brain aneurysms she suffered in 2011 and 2013, Emilia launched her own charity named SameYou, which aims to support young people who have suffered brain injuries. 

She’s had some lucrative endorsements in the past, as she was named the face of Dior’s Rose des Vents jewellery collection in November 2015, and Dolce & Gabbana’s fragrance line, The One for Women, two years later. 

Despite her over two-year hiatus from major roles, the London-born film and TV star is currently filming for a Marvel spin-off miniseries, Secret Invasion.
