Game of Thrones has been one of the biggest phenomena on TV for almost a decade. The stars of the show have gone an incredible transformation, but nothing can match the ordeal that Emilia Clarke went through, and the way she managed to carry herself through it. So it is no surprise that she was named on the TIME’s 100 Most Influential People list and she’s not alone as Richard Madden, who played the role of Robb Stark in the show also made it to the list. Read on!
Time magazine recently released the Time 100 list, which is known worldwide. Every year the magazine names the year’s most influential people, and our Khaleesi and the original King in the North found a mention in the list this time around. 2019 marks the sixteenth year of this honourable list, covering categories like politics, science, entertainment, sports, et al.

Both Emilia and Richard have been named in the artists category. Great British actress, Emma Thompson who is working with Emilia in the upcoming movie Last Christmas spoke with Time:
“Emilia Clarke, they said. I confess — I worried. Ten years on Game of Thrones is enough to turn anyone funny. Would she still have bone-white hair and eat only raw horse?
What was revealed was a woman of mickle might, whose instincts, whetted by years of hard work in environments that were not always safe or healthy, are as finely honed as any I’ve encountered. She has the courage of a small lion, the stamina of a Welsh pit pony and the soul of a clown. A powerhouse to watch and an ally to die for.”
Northern Irish actor, director, producer, and screenwriter Sir Kenneth Branagh, who worked with Madden on the hit movie Cinderella told Time:
“Richard Madden has a rigor and a discipline in his work that makes him a very tough self-critic. In fact, he’s much tougher on himself than anyone else is. In him, this is an asset.”
There’s no doubt that both Richard and Emilia will continue to inspire us all in the years to come. What do you guys think? Talk to us in the comments, down below!
