After getting some great success with their previous thriller Bodyguard, BBC has now finalised the casting for their next thriller Vigil. As per Deadline, apart from Leslie, Vigil will also star Connor Swindells of Sex Education, Shaun Evans of Endeavour and Martin Compston of Line of Duty among others.
Vigil is written by Tom Edge, the BAFTA-nominated writer of feature film Judy and the creator of Netflix comedy Lovesick. James Strong of Broadchurch and Isabelle Sieb of Shetland are going to be the directors.
As per the report, Vigil is a six-part thriller from World Productions from the makers of Line Of Duty and Bodyguard. It will tell the fictional story of how the disappearance of a Scottish fishing trawler and a death on-board a Trident nuclear submarine creates conflict between the police, the Royal Navy, and intelligence services.
Well, it surely is great news for the entire Game of Thrones community. While the previous thriller of BBC, Bodyguard, brought great acclaim to another Game of Thrones star Richard Madden. We hope that Vigil brings the same kind of success to Leslie.
